Academy FAQs

A HammerZone academy is a skill-focused training program built around one part of the game — hitting, pitching, catching, fielding, or athletic performance — with consistent coaching across multiple sessions so players build real, measurable progress. Camps are broader group programs that run over a school break or summer week; academies are for going deep on a specific skill year-round.

HammerZone offers Youth Baseball Hitting, Pitching, and Catching Academies, along with Youth Softball Hitting and Pitching Academies. Specialty programs include Infield Mastery, Pro Prospect, Fundamentals First, Premier Fastpitch, and Diamond Pro Softball, plus Athletic Performance and Strength & Conditioning academies for players focused on speed, power, and durability.

Academies are built for youth players — generally elementary through high school age — and grouped so kids train with peers at a similar skill and developmental level. Contact HammerZone to find the right placement for your child’s age and experience.

Academies are led by HammerZone’s baseball, softball, and performance-training staff — coaches with real playing and instructional backgrounds who specialize in youth development. Players get focused attention on mechanics, reps, and game-ready habits, not generic drills

Academies run in structured blocks with regular weekly sessions so players develop consistency over time. To enroll, call HammerZone at 571-307-5888, email info@hammerzonesports.com, or visit 9709 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA — staff will walk you through current schedules, openings, and pricing.
